Charged EVs | Pickering provides miniature high-voltage reed relay rated as much as 150° C

UK-based reed relay maker Pickering Electronics has launched a high-temperature, high-voltage single-in-line relay that may work at as much as 125° C.
The Pickering Sequence 104HT miniature high-voltage reed relays are supplied within the SIL package deal on a 6.35 mm (0.25 in) pitch and have a stand-off voltage of as much as 4 kV. They’ve built-in mu-metal screening to dam magnetic interference. Electrostatic shielding is obtainable as an added choice.
The relays are available a variety of configurations, together with 1 Kind A, 2 Kind A and 1 Kind B, and will be fitted with coils of both 5, 12 or 24 V, with elective inside diode safety. They will stand up to 1.5, 2, 3, or 4 kV DC with 4 dry change choices. Custom-made designs for even greater voltage rankings are additionally supplied. For bounce-free switching, mercury-wetted gadgets can be found. These are rated at 1,500 V DC minimal stand-off, 500 V DC switching and as much as 50 W.
“By designing these gadgets with elevated magnetic drive and utilizing specialist potting supplies to maintain insulation resistance, Pickering provides reed relays that carry out at elevated temperatures, and which will be saved at as much as 150º C,” stated Kevin Mallett, Technical Specialist at Pickering Electronics.
